Heather Judy CPA, LLC provides personal tax services, including tax planning and tax return preparation.
It is tempting to save money and prepare your tax return on your own, and this may be sufficient for taxpayers who have a simple return with just a W-2 and no dependents, no investments and no deductions. For others however, you need to be sure that you are taking advantage of every tax break available to you! If you are self-employed (see my Business Services page), or own rental property, you may be missing deductions that you are entitled to. What if you inherited assets from a loved one and later sell them – are you taking advantage of the step-up in basis to minimize taxable gains? Are you correctly reporting your basis in retirement accounts if you made nontaxable contributions in prior years? Are you missing deductions associated with education savings contributions, or Section 199A dividends, or IRA contributions, etc.? The list can go on and on subject to the 10 million words that make up the tax code and regulations.
Heather Judy CPA, LLC can navigate these questions with you about the tax code, tax deductions, and tax credits you are legally entitled to and prepare your tax return to take full advantage of them.
Take charge of your taxes.
